Montego Sands Resort apartments were constructed in 1999, so they are relatively new by Gold Coast standards. The designers chose to capture a Tuscan Villa theme, accentuating the 3 separate buildings in the resort away from the street and around a large internal courtyard to take advantage of the bright and sunny northerly aspect. Of course this Tuscan feel would not be complete without the rustic charm of the large terra cotta paving tiles that cover the entire podium area of the courtyard and the heavy cedar timber shutters providing privacy into the living areas of each apartment.
Creating the warmth of a typical Tuscan Villa around the central internal courtyard was achieved to deliberately take any noise of the street away from guests so they can enjoy the intimacy and privacy of their own private balcony. All apartments have a view of our tastefully landscaped gardens, with a typical water fountain and fish pond of gentle running water and bird bath to complete this tranquil setting.
With clever use of space, the sun deck, heated pool and spa are nestled neatly between the large covered BBQ area where guests can relax and entertain with friends or fellow guests. At night this whole area is ‘picture perfect’ once the mood lights come on and the very peaceful and inviting water turns aqua-marine.
